Patricia Dwyer is the founder, owner, and sole employee of Digital Chaos Control, a digital organizing business she started after over 20 years working in the high-tech world working with computers (Apollo Computer, Apple Computer), networking (Auspex Systems, CoSine Communications), storage (SanDisk), and cloud (Egnyte).
In 2004, Patricia transitioned from designing computer systems to managing technical communications and cross-company projects after she realized that her communication and managements skills were a cut above other engineers. She is now applying those skills to running her own business. After doing some consulting in Technical Marketing and meeting several entrepreneurs in the field of professional organizing, she realized that there was a real need for people to get their computer and mobile systems in order in order to free up their time for their work and families. This is ideal work for her to do as it utilizes her technical and her planning skills.
Patricia’s mission is to enable women to feel empowered, rather than overwhelmed, with their technology. There’s nothing that Patricia hates more than to hear an intelligent, capable woman express the feeling that she’s “dumb” when it comes to technology. After a few working sessions with Patricia, her clients tend to feel much more relaxed and comfortable with their technology as well as experiencing a world of improvement in productivity. Patricia has a creative side as well. She enjoys blogging and is experimenting with young adult/middle school fiction. Patricia lives in San Carlos, CA with her husband, son, two cats, and a dog.
