Peachy Keen Perfume is an artisan perfume, but its creator, Jeanette Price, stands for so much more. The former teacher turned perfumer has always had a keen sense for scents. She has traveled the world visiting perfumers, including Grasse in Provence, for a true hands-on experience to bring to her craft.
She launched her first fragrance, Ocean Boulevard, earlier this summer with a quick follow-up, Torrey Pines, debuting just weeks later as an homage to her current hometown: San Diego. Her fragrances are carried by:
- Hi Sweetheart in La Jolla
- Charisma Home Decor in Coronado
- Verde Boutique in Downtown San Diego
- Make Good in South Park
She recently had a display at North Park’s monthly Ray at Night arts event and also teamed up with Art Expo SD where she rolled out her new roll-on perfumes. She hasn’t been slowed as she prepares for Unique LA August 9th and 10th, a Made in America shopping event.
Her business has taken off thanks to the beauty of social media marketing and her genuine nature when reaching out to others who might be interested in her brand. She wants to use her business not just to provide women with products that pleases the senses, but also to raise awareness about in-the-news events that hit close to home.
In the works is an inspired scent that will raise awareness for major issues affecting society today. While the details are being kept hush hush for now, Jeanette is planning to take her brand to the next level this fall.
In the meantime, one of her business missions has been to outsource work to fellow military spouse-owned businesses. Peachy Keen Perfume’s branding and website was completed by Stacy Barnes, a military spouse, and the bottle labels for the perfumes were hand-painted by Lizz Klaras of LK Custom Creations, a military spouse-owned business.
