Hello SOTGC community,

Can we be real for minute?

Great!

I know for some of you … there are days when you just want to throw in the towel.  It’s a day when the product launch didn’t go well or your boss was late for the presentation you’ve been working on for months that has left you feeling like you just can’t take another day.

Here’s the good thing. Yes, there is a good thing behind those days when everything seems to go wrong.

And it is … you’re not alone.

Everyone experiences crappy days, every now and again. The secret is to not let these days get you down by always rising above them.

Here are three things you can do to influence yourself upward.

1. Always Think Positive: How you think is huge!  Just by looking for the positives in any situation can literally change how you perceive a negative situation.  Something that seemed so significant to start with, now just seems like a bump on the road map to your success.

2. Remember Your Why: I talk about this one quite often because it’s literally the energy that keeps you going towards your goals … especially when you’re having a bad day. Spend some time writing out your goals and the impact they’re going to have on your clients or coworkers. Sometimes, looking at the bigger picture is all you need to get recharged to take on the world.

3. Take a Break: Sometimes, you just need to stop and regroup by taking some downtime just for you. It can be easy to move on to the next “to-do,” but having a rough day can lead to a feeling of burnout, especially when you’ve been working a lot of hours. So, it’s important that you take a break because everyone deserves a break … including you!

It can be easy to let a bad day get you down, but as long as you think positive, remember your why, and take a break when needed, you’ll be on your way upward in no time.

To your success!

Julie
