Hello SOTGC community,
It’s a pleasure to introduce our newest SOTGC author, the wonderful Beverly Davis. I met Beverly through Twitter. I saw some great articles she wrote and tweeted so I started retweeting them, responding to her, and we struck up a dialogue. What struck me about Beverly was her raw honesty and passion about “doing what’s right and helping the little guy.” Her background is in corporate finance and she had a mixture of “aha moments” about leaving corporate America. One was when her young son was diagnosed with high functioning autism and she knew she needed to have her own hours to be able to be with him and build her business. The other was when she and her huge firm were scrambling over and over to raise large amounts of capital for their equally wealthy clients…and she knew that there were so many concession made for the wealthy companies that didn’t even NEED the money…and yet the start up/smaller businesses weren’t getting these funds. Funds that could make or break their business. I have ALWAYS loved a person who fights for the person who NEEDS it and so I immediately asked Beverly to join the SOTGC community and share her expertise with you.
