Hello SOTGC community,
HR Captain’s Log Star Date AD 5020
The ever-changing face of work as we know it is culminating in some fascinating variations on the theme of “applying yourself.”
In so-called “Effort Teams” (ET), team members self-select their own long-term projects. These projects can last anywhere from one to ten years, with change of leadership being the norm, not the exception. Depending on the magnitude of projects chosen, team members select what portion of the project they will concentrate on, download knowledge libraries into their embedded bio-computers, and rigorously train for the physical, mental and spiritual tasks projected out into time and space.
A cosmic cyber community portal becomes the first point of access for selecting, bidding-on, and signing-up for these mega projects.
Because intense travel demands are part and parcel of these self-selected assignments, planning ahead for multiple space station and/or new planet stays is a must.
There is no such thing as currency … and no need to make purchases. Once you select a project, all aspects of that project are taken care of. The non-value added drudgery of payments, credit cards, allocations, and expense reporting are totally nonexistent in the new model.
That said, performance is still a factor.
Your on-line project records – and your historic performance ratings – are logged into the cyber community database. Competition, knowledge-sharing and the spirit of universal entrepreneurism still rules!
Your efforts and contributions are rewarded much more intrinsically – everyone looks to do their best because they are looking to have their highly visible success ratings as superlative as possible.
What are you waiting for?
To be continued ….
In the future, everything is possible!
