Hello SOTGC community,
It’s “Pre-Fall” and school is in session! (Did you know there was a season between summer and fall – yep, just ask the designers who actually have pre-fall collections then take notice that the weather is still upwards of 89 in most parts of the US.)
It’s time to talk fashion as we ease into our cozy soft sweaters and luscious leather boots. Oh, and Diary, let me tell you how difficult it was to keep our talk today focused and bite sized… Ooowweee Fashion Week had me so excited I wanted to write about everything through Spring 2014! The fashions are continuing their return to ultra-feminine and I almost couldn’t stop
hugging my screen watching the live feed of the shows in NY. There is something so beautiful, so easy, so natural, so powerful when a woman moves wholly into her feminine self, inside and out. The confidence and grace that silently commands a room when she steps in – tailored yet soft, conservative yet flirty, inviting with a punch of color. It is unmatched and is a magnet to everyone around her. Yep, this is my favorite style and I’m still learning how to walk tall in all of my own feminine beauty and power.

The organic colors that show up in our fall landscape are again the inspiration for this fall’s fashion dyes; while deep teal and camouflage return to the scene from last fall, the sultry colors of red and burgundy are the key players joined by their understudy, mustard yellow.

Be on the lookout for oversized outer coats and capes but be sure to pair these with slender leggings or a fitted sheath.

And for Casual Friday;
On those days that don’t call for me to be
blazing like fire coated in color, I’ll bloom through a colorful scarf, big envelope clutch, shoes or a hat.

Take just 30 minutes to scour your closet and find pieces in this season’s hottest colors. Mix and match them, pair them up with pants or skirts you’ve not pulled together before. Then decide what you
want absolutely need to add to spice it up or make it more feminine for this fall.
Send me a picture of your favorite new combination and join me back here next time when we talk about faulty foundations.
Until then, I’ll be seeking out Pumpkin Spice Lattes and catching some football with my handsome man and best buddies while sporting my fancy burgundy fur collar and mustard yellow leather boots!
