Good morning SOTGC readers. Here is our second interview with Nancy Widmann who was the first female President at CBS radio. Nancy was inducted into the Broadcasting hall of fame in 2005 and is a co-author in the book “I didn’t see it coming” which we covered in our last interview with her. For those of you who haven’t read it, I highly advise checking this book out since it pertains to having a back up plan for your career.
In this interview we talk about networking, the definition, the misconceptions behind it, and the importance of NEVER stopping the networking process. If you have any questions for Nancy please email me at ceosotgc@gmail.com.
Takeaway points:
– People LOVE to talk about themselves, so asking to learn about “how they did it” is not a burden to
them
– Networking is not an event….it’s a lifestyle….AKA informal networking
– No matter how high on the totem pole you are you should never stop networking because…you
just never know what could happen…
