Good morning SOTGC readers. It’s a pleasure to introduce our latest “Monthly Must Haves.”
Threads Worldwide: Founded by three young ladies who travel a lot, and each time they’d return they would feel like they needed to be doing SOMETHING to help make a difference in the lives of some of the people they met. After reading a book about Global Girlfriend founder Angela Yost said she had an epiphany….THEY could do this!

Their action is to provide sustainable income opportunities for women worldwide through the creation and sale of fairly jewelry and accessories.
Angela Yost is a founder of Threads Worldwide, a social enterprise that provides women in the United States a way to make money and a difference by selling fairly made jewelry and accessories that are handmade by women living in developing countries. Angela was inspired to start Threads after witnessing the lives of those living in poverty in countries like India and Cambodia. She knew she had to do something! Angela has 10 years in the digital marketing and technology sales space and holds a B.S. in Biology & Psychology from Tufts University. Angela is proud to have visited 47 countries and when she is not traveling, she can be found snowboarding at any of the amazing Colorado resorts.
Lindsay Herron founded Threads Worldwide in 2011. Threads gives women in developing countries access to a global market for their jewelry and accessories. Lindsay holds a B.S. from Oregon State University and a B.S. in Nursing from Regis University in Denver, CO. She has over 10 years’ experience in commercial real estate and nearly 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse. Lindsay made a major career change after realizing that making impact in her job was high on her priority list. Now she enjoys both being a nurse & Threads – a perfect combination for her! It was when Lindsay was travelling in several developing countries and seeing extreme poverty that she knew that she couldn’t go back to the US and pretend that level of poverty did not exist. She had to find a way to help and Threads was her answer. Lindsay has a passion for seeing the world and when she is not traveling, she enjoys snowboarding, cooking and snuggling her niece and nephew.
