Everyone needs/deserves/benefits-from a Mentor – nuf said – it’s a given.
So here’s a different spin on this age-old relationship – that being between a Mentor and you, the
Mentee. Assuming there is a healthy degree of trust between the two of you, agree to reverse the roles periodically – this means you are equally both Mentee and Mentor simultaneously.
Mentee/Mentor …. Mentor/Mentee …. Mentee/Mentor ….. Mentor/Mentee
This way it is a two-way dynamic ….. it is duality at it’s finest … keeps things interesting.
I mentor you, you mentor me – depending on the circumstance of course.
It will stretch the dialogue and extend the trust between the two of you.
Furthermore, if you construct your own Personal Advisory Committee, you can try and create this symbiotic relationship amongst all the members. Why not? Knowledge can be discovered in the most unexpected places!
