Good morning SOTGC readers. With the advent of successful longevity cures, we’ve been able to engineer the anti-aging gene sufficiently now so that we no longer track mortality rates, but generational longevity spans.
We find ourselves within a maze of inter-generational communities – highly heterogeneous – with average lifespans of 150 – 300 years of age.
Communicating effectively, negotiating, planning and project managing are all potentially mired by the special characteristics of each discrete generation.
Those born after 2050 (the Gen A’s) are prone to having unrealistic expectations, since they were on the cusp of the interplanetary settlement movement, while those of us born after AD 3000 have little or no knowledge or understanding of the English language as we knew it.
As usual, Learning and Development gurus are rising to the occasion by constructing tutorials ‘on-demand’ so that you can internalize the language, cultural preferences and work styles of most any generation.
This addresses one of the larger mental health issues of our times, known as Multi-Generational Confusion (otherwise known as Multi-Generational Paralysis) – the inability to inter operate among or navigate within unique, post 21st Century homo sapiens.
It’s like this – at the end of the day – we all have to get along!
