Hello SOTGC community,
HR Captain’s Log Star Date: AD 2013
Context – It has come to my attention as Chief Human Cosmos Officer, that there is trouble a-brewing on-board our Corporate Space Station currently circling Neptune.
At issue is the possible illegal dispensing of cognitive multi-tasking drugs. These drugs have been banned from all mission-critical organizations due to their distraction qualities – meaning that once taken, the drugs enable the user to do multiple tasks of a complex nature simultaneously. Obviously, this can cause a serious lack of focus and attention not unlike smart phones back in more primitive times on earth.
Upon further investigation and Human Cosmos due diligence, it appears that there is a rogue Supervisor augmenting his sizable compensation by illegally peddling multi-tasking drugs (otherwise known as MTD’s) on-board the Space Station Neptunitis II during his off-duty shift.
It is really a significant health and safety risk to be engaged in any activity on-board the Space Station that compromises the ability to pay attention and stay on task for obvious reasons. Two decades ago, there was a severe head-on collision between an asteroid and an orbiting space station due to multi-tasking drug side effects on the part of the navigation crew. This could have been avoided had the Standard Operating Procedures been followed!
My responsibility is to substantiate the allegations through rigorous scientific fact-finding and surveillance data analysis, and remotely disable the Supervisor’s capabilities to on-site manufacture and distribute this universe-wide banned substance.
In the event that the Supervisor refuses to cooperate and/or cease and desist said deviant professional behavior, I will be forced to re-assign him to a position of limited scope and impact – which in turn will disengage and de-motivate him significantly.
I have personally had great success hitting these illegal drug peddling cases head-on thanks largely to the incredibly conscientious and collaborative organizational cultures on-board our Space Stations. The crew all act as owners and leaders, and they have low tolerance for any behavior that violates the spirit of cooperation which is such a hallmark and mainstay of 31st Century work ethic! To be continued …..
In the future…everything is possible!!!
